The Amount of God's Affection to Humans

Al-Qur'an is a medicine for a sore heart.  He is also a pacifier for restless souls.  There is one verse in it which carries a very broad hope for all humans.

The Amount of God's Affection to Humans

In that verse Allah shows His great affection even to the servants who have done evil.

قل يا عبادي الذين أسرفوا على أنفسهم لا تقنطوا من رحمة الله إن الله يغفر الذنوب جميعا إنه هو الغفور الرحيم -53-

Say, "O my servants who transgress their limits!  Do not despair from Allah's grace.  Surely Allah forgives all sins.  Truly, He is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful. "(Az-Zumar 53)

Points

1. Allah still uses the word يَا عِبَادِيَ (O my servant) to those who have opposed it with sins.  God never forgets them and always hopes that the servant will return to Him.

2. God does not call them sinners, sinners, and others.  Allah, with His tenderness, calls them to the name of my servant who transcends borders.

3. Don't be discouraged.  With this sentence, God wants to convince the sinners, whatever sin you have committed and however much it is, never give up in getting His forgiveness.

4. After forbidding the sinner to despair from His forgiveness, God still stresses again that He will forgive sins if the servant returns to Him.  Surely Allah forgives sins.

5. Not enough of that, God added the whole word.  All sins of any magnitude will be forgiven by Allah.  Therefore, never give up.

6. And Allah ends this verse with His nature, Truly, He is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.  There is nothing more forgiving and merciful than Him
